Filling New Veg Beds for Nottingham College
Nottingham College Wilding Campuses Project Manager, Liz Morley, contacted us after some of the college students were relocated on campus from an area with an established allotment garden, to a site with no growing facilities at all.
The team had managed to have some raised beds built for the students to use however, due to limited funding for making new growing spaces, they reached out to Veolia's composting team for assistance
The Pro-Grow team responded by donating 2000 litres of their Soil Conditioner compost to help establish the new vegetable beds.
This collaboration was particularly meaningful given Veolia's existing partnership with Nottinghamshire City Council, allowing them to support their local community.
The students have since successfully planted the new beds using the donated soil conditioner.
