"I just wanted to pass on huge thanks to the delivery driver today. Apparently he went above and beyond (I was at work, but my husband took the delivery) and between the 2 of them and an electric trolley managed to get it all the way up to the back garden. That has saved us so much time wheelbarrowing in the rain!"

"Great product and delivery service, shared the quantity with friends and neighbours. Unlimited growing of veggies in pots all summer. We wondered if the pallet and cubic m bag could be returned when compost all used so that it can be reused, I emailed about this last week but haven’t had a reply yet. "

"I am extremely pleased with the peat-free organic compost I have used to fill my new raised beds. Over 1 month I have bought 5 bulk bags (and 1 bulk bag of wood chips). Our garden soil was waterlogged and we needed drastic measures. The compost is extremely good quality, clean, weed- and debris- free and easy to work. Great stuff - but I don't need any more for a year or so. The wood chips were also of very good quality. Clean, smelt nice (some suppliers sell rancid stuff). and easy to work. What can I find to moan about? well, I wanted 5 more bags to re-cover a previously covered area. The problem was that, despite the fact that I wanted to order them with another £132 bag of compost, you wanted to charge £35 delivery - the cost of the wood chips. One would have thought that you could have put it on the same truck and saved me money and the environment another load of CO2 - so I didn't order. Anyhow - that caveat aside - if you buy bulk bags you get VERY high quality products at an excellent price. I'm going to give the products - and the bulk delivery a 5. I won't comment on the odd bags I wanted."

"Varied results. I've been using this compost for various potted plants, mostly flowers and veg. It seems to be fairly woody/fibrous/twiggy, and not very high in nutrition for multipurpose, I've had to add some fertiliser and water retention to the mix in some occasions. Also seems to sprout a particular type of toadstool after a few weeks. Adequate but not brilliant."

"I used both the Soil Conditioner and Multi Purpose and found them to be of a consistent quality and to provide good growing mediums. I pick up bags from the Little Bushy Warren Site where I find the staff to be very helpful. I am also impressed by the cleanliness of site especially in wet weather and when you take into account lorries are regularly using the site and the products being moved. "

Directions for Use

• Sowing seeds: Fill your pot or tray with Pro-Grow multi-purpose compost to the brim, adding water if dry. Gently press down to give a flat surface. Sow seeds leaving a space around each one. Cover seeds with a thin layer of compost after sowing.
• Potting up containers & baskets: Fill your containers or baskets with compost leaving room to arrange plants on the surface. Make a hole and position the plant so that the top of the rootball is level with the surface of the compost. Firm down around the plant, water well and top up with more compost leaving a gap below the rim of the pot so that water soaks in. Apply fertilisers after 6 - 8 weeks.
• Cuttings: Cuttings require a lot of drainage, so mix Pro-Grow multi-purpose compost with perlite or grit.
• A 1000L bag of multi-purpose compost will cover 20m² at a depth of 5cm, or fill 140 hanging baskets (30cm diameter).

Delivery

Bulky bags are transported on a pallet and delivered to your door by a 7.5 tonnes or 18 tonnes lorry. The pallets are unloaded from the lorry using a pallet trolley. If you are purchasing Pro-Grow bulky bags you will need good access for these vehicles and please be aware that the pallet trolley cannot travel across un-even surfaces (e.g. gravel). We will try our best to put the bag where you need it but WE MAY ONLY BE ABLE TO DELIVER IT TO THE KERBSIDE. Bulky bags are delivered within 5 - 7 working days between 9am to 6pm. If you live in a countryside lane please mention in the field named 'delivery instructions'. Also please inform if you require a small 7.5t lorry to deliver your goods (dimensions of a 7.5t vehicle are: full length 30 feetxWidth 7.5 feetxHeight is variable up to 13 feet).
